7.5T Home Delivery Drivers – Basingstoke. Flexible People Ltd are currently recruiting 7.5T Home Delivery Drivers for a well-known client of ours, based in Basingstoke. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a multinational organisation, with the potential for career growth and further opportunities. The role involves working alongside a Driver’s Mate to deliver large items to residential properties. Products include sofas, beds, flat-pack furniture, gym equipment, white goods and other large household items. Please note that, although the role is based in Basingstoke, drivers may also be required to travel to Southampton to carry out delivery routes in the surrounding area. Due to the nature and weight of the products being delivered, you MUST be physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting. The company offers customers a ‘room of choice’ delivery service, and full training will be provided. Upon successful application, all new drivers will be required to complete a driving assessment and a multiple-choice Highway Code/tachograph exam. This will be followed by an induction day the following day. Working Hours: * 5-day rota - You will be expected to work at least one day per weekend. * 6am start, with shifts lasting approximately 8–9 hours Pay Rates: * £20.43 per hour, inclusive of holiday pay * £22.97 per hour for overtime Newly qualified drivers are welcome to apply. Please note that drug tests may be carried out at any time at the client's discretion. A drug test will also be conducted during the assessment process. Requirements: * Valid UK driving licence, Driver CPC and digital tachograph card * No more than 6 points on your driving licence * No DD, DR or NI convictions * Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy goods * Own steel-toe-cap safety boots and a high-visibility vest The Ideal Candidate: * Reliable, organised and punctual * Excellent communication skills and a good level of customer service * Physically fit and comfortable working as part of a two-person delivery team If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply with your CV.
