Hours:

  • Sunday: Approximately 12–13 hours (around 06:00–18:00)
  • Monday to Thursday: 8-hour shifts, start time between 12:00 and 14:00

Role Overview

Flexible People Ltd are seeking an experienced and resilient Transport Administrator to support a busy transport operation within a fast-paced distribution environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives under pressure, enjoys problem-solving, and is confident communicating with drivers and warehouse teams throughout the day. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth daily transport operations, acting as the main point of contact for drivers while they are out on the road.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurate data entry and system updates
  • Managing email communications throughout the shift
  • Dispatching drivers in the mornings and supporting ongoing operations
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for drivers while on route
  • Supporting drivers with issues such as:
    • Finding delivery locations
    • Parking difficulties
    • Failed or delayed drops
  • Liaising closely with warehouse personnel and transport teams
  • Handling last-minute rota changes, including:
    • Covering sickness
    • Reallocating routes
    • Sourcing replacement drivers when required

Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience in a transport or logistics administration role
  • Good numerical skills with strong attention to detail
  • Confident, clear, and professional communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm and organised in a high-pressure environment
  • Experience using Kronos is desirable
  • Strong patience and resilience — drivers and warehouse staff may be stressed or frustrated during busy periods
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities

The pay rate is £12.81 per hour, there is an overtime rate of £19.22 for anything worked over 48 hours in a week.
