Van Home Delivery Driver & Drivers Mate – KetteringFlexible People Ltd are currently recruiting Van Home Delivery Drivers and Drivers Mates for a well-known, multinational client based in Kettering .This is a fantastic opportunity to join a large and established organisation, with the potential for long-term employment, career growth and progression opportunities .The Role – Van Home Delivery Driver As a Van Home Delivery Driver , you will work alongside a Drivers Mate to deliver large goods to residential properties. Products can include: TVsFlat-pack furnitureGym equipmentWhite goodsOther large household itemsThe client offers customers a “Room of Choice” delivery service , meaning goods are delivered directly into the room of the customer's choice. Full training will be provided on how to safely carry out these deliveries.
Due to the size and weight of the products being delivered, you must be physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting .We are also recruiting Drivers Mates to work alongside the delivery drivers, assisting with the safe loading, unloading and delivery of large and heavy goods into customers' homes.
This is a physically demanding role, so you must be comfortable with heavy lifting and working as part of a two-person delivery team.
Training & Assessment Upon successful application, all new drivers will be required to complete: A driving assessmentA multiple-choice Highway CodeA subsequent induction dayWorking Hours The client operates 7 days a week , and you will receive a weekly rota of 5–6 shifts per week .06:00 startShifts typically last 8–11 hoursWeekend work is requiredPlease only apply if you are available to work weekends as well as weekdays.
Pay Rate – Van Home Delivery Driver £14.24 per hour£19.58 per hour overtime rate after 48 hours worked in the working weekLong-Term Opportunities & Benefits After 12 weeks , there is the opportunity to be offered a permanent contract directly with the company.
