Flexible People Ltd are currently recruiting Drivers Mates to work alongside experienced 7.5t lorry drivers for a well-established client based in Bristol. The Role As a Drivers Mate, you will assist with the delivery of large items to residential properties, including: Flat-pack furniture
Gym equipment
White goods
This is a physically demanding role and requires a good level of fitness, as heavy lifting is involved. Working Hours & Shifts The client operates 7 days a week
The current rota's we have are Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday. WEEKEND WORK IS INVOLVED AND IS COMPULSORY
Start time: 06:00
Shift length: approximately 911 hours per day
Key Responsibilities Assisting the driver with safe delivery of goods
Calling customers ahead of arrival to provide delivery updates
Delivering excellent customer service at all times
Acting as a Banksman when the lorry is reversing (full training provided)
Requirements To be considered for this role, you must: Be physically fit and capable of lifting heavy items
Be reliable, organised, and punctual
Have strong communication and customer service skills
Be able to reliably commute to Southampton
Own your own steel toe cap safety boots and high-visibility vest
Training & Compliance Attendance at a mandatory induction day is required before starting
Drug testing may be carried out at any time, including during induction
Pay £13.05 per hour
£19.58 per hour overtime, paid for hours worked over 48 hours per week
