Flexible People Ltd are currently recruiting 7.5t drivers for a well-known Sofa Delivery company, based in Bristol. The company builds and supplies sofas all over the country and this vacancy in Bristol is a Temp to Perm position, whereby you would work via Flexible People Ltd for 13 weeks before moving on to a contract directly with the company, if successful.

The role is working on a 4 on 4 off basis, 0700 starts and 1900 finishes (4x 12 hour days). Please note that this rolling rota will fall over the weekend at some point, so please only apply if you are ok to work weekends as part of your '4 on' rota.

Pay Rate: £20.65 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)

As a 7.5t Driver, you'll be delivering sofas, with the help of a Porter, to customers at the final stage of their journey. You will be creating that all-important lasting impression, so great customer service skills are of utmost importance. You will be delivering to all kinds of residences, from inner city destinations to countryside homes, so no two days are the same!

Your daily responsibilities as a 7.5t driver:

  • Complete all deliveries into customers' homes in a safe and professional manner.
  • Communicate effectively with the customer prior to delivery, to ensure that they know you're on your way to their address.
  • Ensure furniture is delivered to the room requested by the customer and that they are not left with any rubbish to dispose of.
  • Represent the company's values and those of their brand partners in everything that you do.
  • Work with your team and senior managers to provide feedback and continually improve the standards of service they offer.
  • Carry out daily inspections of allocated vehicles and equipment, informing the line manager of any defects/missing items immediately.
  • Comply with all driving laws as defined by the government and all company policies and procedures.

The role is for you if:

  • You hold a 7.5T License or above, Digi Tacho, CPC Card and valid UK manual driving license (minimum 12 months, max 6 points).
  • You're great with people and enjoy helping customers.
  • You've got strong time management skills and thrive on variety.
  • You're comfortable installing and lifting heavy furniture in different home settings.
  • You take pride in your work and value safety of yourself and those around you.
  • You're ready to work as part of a supportive two-person team.
  • You hold a National Insurance Number and can communicate well.
