We are looking for Sessional Childcare Practitioners to join our team here in Fraserburgh. This is an ‘as and when required’ role to fit around the needs of the group and your availability to work. The hourly rate of pay for this post is £12.60-£12.92 per hour. This is a great opportunity for those who are looking for a second job, or just for a few hours of work while they manage college or other family commitments.
Your Qualifications and Experience
We are looking for qualified and unqualified childcare practitioners to come and work in our after‑school clubs, Saturdays and holiday play schemes. Ideal candidates will have some experience working with children with ASN.
The Role
The successful candidates will be expected to deliver high quality early learning and childcare for children, and support the Service Manager and the existing team. This role is ideal for someone looking to start or further progress a career in childcare and will provide a pathway to childcare qualifications.
The Setting
Our Fraserburgh group is based in Westfield School and is for both primary and secondary aged children, specifically with ASN. We are part of the charity Flexible Childcare Services Scotland (FCSS). FCSS is a national charity that is unique in that parents are able to book childcare by the hour, pay as they go and change their bookings each week. This flexible childcare model helps families save money and supports them returning to education and employment, helping to distance the whole family from poverty. The group runs after school on Tuesdays & Wednesdays during term time, Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays during school holidays and Saturdays year‑round.
