In your role as Senior Product Marketing Manager, you will evolve a traditional product marketing function into a best practice strategic solution and content marketing engine. You will lead the market positioning and strategic narrative to drive awareness, preference and growth with prospects, customers and media and analyst influencers for the products that fuel our SaaS management, IT asset management and AI spend management solutions.
The ideal candidate will be a go-getter with a demonstrated track record of gathering and translating customer insights, competitive intel plus product and portfolio value into unique, compelling stories across paid, earned and owned communications channels. This leader will build cross-functional strategies to grow the business in tight partnership with Product, Strategy, Engineering, Customer Success and Sales teams.
Working knowledge of how to position a traditional product narrative into a solution narrative for the marketplace, media and analysts (Gartner, Forrester, IDC) to secure positive representation for Flexera is an important part of this role.
As the Senior Product Marketing Manager, you will:
- Own market, buyer, and customer intelligence for your solution set:
- Obtain a deep understanding of target personas, buying groups, and industry segments
- Synthesize customer insights from product usage data, voice-of-customer programs, and external research
- Leverage AI tools to analyze large-scale feedback (reviews, win/loss interviews, support tickets) for trends and messaging gaps
- Translate insights into actionable positioning, segmentation, and GTM strategies
- Develop messaging and positioning artifacts that can be used at scale:
- Define differentiated product and solution positioning aligned to buyer pain points and business outcomes
- Build and maintain messaging frameworks across personas, industries, and use cases
- Ensure consistency across web, sales, campaigns, and partner channels
- Continuously refine messaging using performance data and AI-assisted content testing
- Lead product launches and GTM planning:
- Lead end-to-end GTM strategy for new products, features, and releases
- Define launch plans, target segments, value propositions, and success metrics
- Coordinate cross-functional execution across product, sales, customer success, and marketing
- Drive content strategy, campaigns, and customer marketing alignment:
- Partner with campaigns and customer marketing teams to define content strategy across the customer lifecycle
- Create high-impact assets such as demo videos, how-to guides, solution pages, assessments, webinars, and thought leadership
- Guide AI-assisted content creation to ensure quality, differentiation, and brand voice
- Analyst relations:
- Work with our internal and external media and analyst resources to build awareness and understanding of Flexera’s solutions and products for positive perception and placement in media and analyst reports (Magic Quadrant, Waves)
- Develop and deliver sales and partner enablement:
- Develop enablement assets including pitch decks, battlecards, demo narratives, and objection handling guides
- Equip sales and partners with persona-based messaging and value articulation
- Analyze pipeline performance and adapt messaging to improve conversion
Experience, Capability, and Behaviors:
- 5+ years minimum product marketing experience with at least 2 years in a software or technology company
- BS in marketing or equivalent, MBA preferred
- Proven track record developing and executing metrics-driven go-to-market plans for a product or solution portfolio in partnership with cross-functional teams spanning product management, engineering, marketing and sales
- Software and/or technology market/industry experience desirable with knowledge of cloud management, SaaS management, ITAM platforms a plus
- Product management or direct sales experience a plus
- Strong software/technology industry network
- Proven product and solution market messaging and storytelling experience and expertise
- Basic SEO/AEO and conversion-optimization knowledge
- Strong ability to take initiative, collaborate and drive results through a global team
- Strong written/oral communications
- Analytical, strategic, objective-driven planning and reporting
- Experience with business intelligence tools, Salesforce, and AI tools
- Empathetic to buyers, customers, users, and sales resources
