A global, family-owned manufacturer of coated and laminated films and adhesives, products are used as functional components in manufactured goods and in graphics applications. Since 1956, Flexcon has supplied products for a wide range of industries including packaging, medical devices, automotive, durable labeling and more.

We are currently seeking candidates to hire a Quality Engineer with a supply chain focus. The Quality Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the correct quality of products across the whole EU manufacturing business are complying with required specifications. This position involves the implementation of quality assurance measures, problem-solving, and continuous improvement to meet quality standards and customer expectations.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes, procedures and standards to monitor and assess product or process quality at various stages of production.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Investigate and identify the root causes of quality issues, defects, or deviations from specifications.
  • Quality Documentation: Maintain accurate records of quality data and quality documentation. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance product quality, reduce waste, and optimize production efficiency.
  • Quality Training: Provide training to appropriate personnel on quality assurance procedures, standards, and best practices to ensure compliance and consistent quality.
  • Quality Reporting: Generate quality reports and metrics to communicate performance, trends, and areas for improvement to management and relevant stakeholders.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations, quality standards, and certifications relevant to the product or industry.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest changes to quality control processes to enhance product quality and reliability.
  • Makes logical and methodical recommendations to production supervisors, quality and other appropriate business personnel where required.
  • Support customer complaint investigation when required, inclusive of system management and overall process implementation/control, where appropriate to ensure feedback is prompt, thorough and effective.

Degree in quality/applied science/engineering or relevant STEM Degree required. Knowledge of quality assurance/control techniques, statistical analysis, and root cause analysis methodologies. Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., Proficiency in quality improvement tools and software). Knowledge of regulatory requirements specific to the industry (e.g., FDA regulations for medical devices, ISO13485, Automotive IATF16949) desirable.
