We are looking for experienced, UK-based Wind Turbine Technicians to support onshore installation projects in the United Kingdom. In addition, there are opportunities for long‑term cooperation on projects across Europe. The role covers the full installation cycle of wind turbines – from major component installation through mechanical completion to final handover – always in line with the highest HSE and quality standards.

About Us: FlexWind delivers wind turbine installation projects across Europe, working with international and highly skilled technical teams. Due to a growing project pipeline for 2026, we are expanding our technician pool and looking for experienced professionals interested in long‑term, project‑based cooperation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation of major components including towers, nacelles, drivetrains, hubs, and blades.
  • Efficient slinging and banksman duties during lifting operations.
  • Ensuring all lifting equipment and tooling are fit for purpose prior to use.
  • Bolt torquing and tensioning using various high‑pressure hydraulic bolting systems (including Hy‑Torque tools).
  • General mechanical completion works within the turbine.
  • Upending and installation of tower lifting brackets.
  • Following work instructions, RAMS, and safe systems of work to ensure safety and build continuity.
  • Maintaining high standards of work quality while operating within a team environment.
  • Responding effectively to changing site conditions, managing priorities, and planning contingencies.
  • Maintaining a high level of housekeeping and supporting operational changes on site.
  • Promoting a working environment based on trust, teamwork, technical knowledge, and performance.

Requirements:

  • Proven hands‑on experience as a Wind Turbine Technician.
  • GWO BST + GWO BTT (Electrical / Mechanical / Hydraulic) – mandatory.
  • Preferable experience working on Vestas turbines (other platforms also considered).
  • Strong understanding of mechanical installation processes and hydraulic tooling.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and work instructions.
  • Strong safety mindset with a consistent focus on HSE standards.
