Our client is looking to expand its pool of experienced contractor lawyers to support its growing commercial function. This is a flexible, fully remote opportunity for a senior commercial lawyer who is Italian qualified, or dual qualified in Italy and England and Wales, with strong experience in Italian contracts and/or the financial services sector.
This role sits within a fast-paced, high-performing legal team at a business that continues to scale and innovate quickly, including expansion into Europe and significant activity at the intersection of technology, fintech and AI.
The opportunity
The commercial team currently consists of a mix of permanent lawyers and contractors, working closely together to support the business. Contractors join an existing pool and can choose to take on work as and when it suits them, with no minimum commitment.
What you’ll be doing
- Reviewing and advising on commercial contracts
- Supporting contracts in the tech, fintech and financial services space
- Working collaboratively with a well-established in-house legal team in a fast-moving environment
How the work is structured
- Fully remote role
- Typically around 40 hours per month, but this can be more or less depending on your availability
- Day-to-day collaboration via Slack, so familiarity with this tool is beneficial
About you
- Italian qualified solicitor or dual qualified in Italy and England & Wales
- Strong and recent experience with Italian contracts
- Background in commercial law, ideally with exposure to tech, fintech or financial services
- Comfortable working at pace with high expectations around quality and output
- Able to work confidently in English, both written and spoken
