Our client, a leading international banking and wealth management business, is seeking an experienced Interim Credit & Lending Lawyer to join its UK legal team on a 6-month basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a 3–7 PQE banking/finance lawyer with strong transactional credit experience to advise on a broad range of lending matters across a diverse loan portfolio.
The role will focus on property lending and securities-backed (Lombard) lending, alongside some specialist financing arrangements, working with a wide range of borrower and security provider structures.

Location: London/hybrid (3 days p/w in the office)
Day Rate: £Daily Rate DOE

Key Responsibilities
- Advising on a broad range of transactional credit facilities and loan lifecycle matters.
- Supporting property lending, securities-backed (Lombard) lending and specialist financing transactions.
- Advising on facilities involving individuals, domestic and overseas corporates, charities and other wealth structures.
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating facility and security documentation.
- Advising on regulated mortgage contracts and consumer credit considerations.
- Providing practical, commercially focused advice to senior business stakeholders.
- Supporting policies, procedures and facility template documentation where required.
- Managing matters with a high degree of autonomy and light supervision.
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified lawyer with 3–7 years' PQE.
- Strong transactional credit and loan facilities experience.
- Experience with property lending and/or securities-backed lending is highly desirable.
- MCOB knowledge is desirable but not essential.
- Comfortable advising on a range of borrower and security provider structures.
- Previous experience within a bank, financial institution or private banking environment would be advantageous.
