We are seeking an experienced Lawyer to join a leading UK law firm on an interim basis. You will work within an established Risk & Compliance function, providing practical legal advice across contracts, regulatory matters, data protection and wider business risk.

Working Pattern: Full-Time
Location: London/Hybrid (2-3 days per week in office)
Rate: £Daily Rate DOE
Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing and advising on requests to vary the firm's client engagement terms, identifying legal, regulatory, and commercial risks.
- Drafting, updating, and negotiating terms of business and related client-facing documentation.
- Advising on risk and compliance issues arising from client onboarding, engagement terms, and ongoing matters.
- Supporting data protection and confidentiality queries connected to client engagements.
- Providing pragmatic guidance to partners and internal stakeholders on compliance-related matters.
- Working closely with the Risk & Compliance team to ensure regulatory obligations and internal policies are adhered to.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2+ years' post-qualification experience.
- Experience working within a law firm Risk & Compliance or General Counsel team is essential.
- Strong experience reviewing and negotiating client engagement terms and terms of business.
- Demonstrable understanding of law firm regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Experience advising on risk issues relating to client engagements and contractual arrangements.
- Good understanding of data protection principles and confidentiality obligations.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to advise partners and senior colleagues.
