We are seeing a sustained increase in demand from our clients for experienced paralegals with a grounding in intellectual property, commercial contracts, and trademark law. These roles sit within in-house legal teams across industries such as food and beverage, retail, and other commercially driven sectors where IP plays a central role.
We are therefore looking to connect with paralegals based in London who have at least one year of relevant experience and a genuine interest in building their career in intellectual property.
The work
These roles offer a broad and engaging mix of legal and operational responsibilities. You will be supporting busy in-house teams where attention to detail and commercial awareness both matter.
- Drafting and managing trademark, copyright, and domain name applications
- Preparing and filing legal documentation relating to intellectual property matters
- Managing a portfolio of trademarks, including reviewing watch notices and taking appropriate action
- Supporting legal discovery processes and preparing clear status reports
- Assisting with the lifecycle management of commercial contracts, including NDAs
- Handling design rights, patents, and product infringement matters
- Completing authorisation letters and managing disclosures to customs
- Managing client and internal stakeholder communication
- Generating quotes, handling invoicing, and supporting budget tracking
- Supporting operational processes, including IP inbox triage and sharing updates internally
What we are looking for
We are looking for individuals who combine technical capability with a proactive, positive approach. You may already have experience in intellectual property, or you may be coming from a broader paralegal background and looking to specialise. In both cases, you should be comfortable working within a professional, fast-moving environment and confident building strong working relationships.
- Hold a UK qualifying law degree (ie, LLB, MA Conversion / GDL etc) or have passed SQE 1
- Have at least one year of relevant legal experience
- Show a genuine interest in intellectual property
- Be organised, detail-oriented, and willing to take ownership of your work
- Be comfortable working with spreadsheets and presentations, using MS Office daily
- Approach work with energy and a willingness to get involved in more technical matters over time
