We’re looking for an experienced IP lawyer to join the in house legal team of a major global consumer business, supporting a portfolio of some of the world’s most recognised and iconic brands on an interim basis. This is a brilliant opportunity to work within a dynamic global team of around 30 IP professionals, partnering closely with Legal, Marketing, Innovation and Regulatory colleagues across the UK and Amsterdam.

Key Details:

  • Start Date: 1st September
  • Duration: Initial 9 month contract
  • Working Pattern: Full time
  • Location: Flexible, with key stakeholders based across the UK and Amsterdam

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising on international trademarks, designs and copyright matters
  • Managing both contentious and non contentious IP work
  • Overseeing IP protection, prosecution and preliminary clearance searches
  • Reviewing advertising, marketing materials, product packaging and labels
  • Drafting and negotiating licensing, settlement, coexistence and partnership agreements
  • Providing clear, practical and commercially focused advice to senior stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Qualified lawyer with minimum 5+ years' post-qualification experience
  • Strong international intellectual property experience, particularly in trade marks, designs and copyright
  • Experience working within a consumer brands environment would be highly advantageous
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across a fast moving global organisation
