A leading global investment management business is seeking an experienced Commercial Technology Lawyer to join its team on an interim basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy in-house legal function and support a broad range of commercial, technology, outsourcing and intellectual property matters across the UK business, with occasional support for colleagues in APAC and the Americas.

Key Details:

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Duration: Initial 4 month contract with likely extension
  • Working Pattern: Full time
  • Location: Hybrid/London (2-3 days in office)
  • Pay: £Day Rate

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advising on a broad range of commercial and technology matters
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts with a strong technology focus, including SaaS agreements, software licences, AI procurement, end-user agreements and outsourcing contracts
  • Advising on market data licensing, data usage, proprietary tools and derived data
  • Supporting business-as-usual commercial matters across marketing, sponsorship, facilities, consultancy and professional services
  • Managing the review and negotiation process independently from instruction through to completion
  • Working closely with the wider legal team to deliver commercially focused legal advice across the business

Candidate requirements:

  • Qualified lawyer with strong experience in commercial and technology contracts
  • Experience gained at a leading law firm, financial institution and/or established technology business
  • Strong knowledge of outsourcing arrangements and DORA regulation
  • Experience with AI procurement and market data licensing would be highly desirable
