We have an excellent opportunity with our client, who is seeking a talented Associate to join their Non-Contentious Construction team. This role sits within the firm’s fast-growing Construction Group, which advises a broad range of clients including developers, investors, funders and occupiers on complex and high-profile projects.
Our client’s Construction Group advises on complex development projects and high-value real estate transactions. They work closely with specialists across construction disputes, real estate, planning, finance, corporate and tax.
- Advising on the construction aspects of real estate, finance and corporate transactions
- Supporting pre-dispute matters, including risk management and early-stage strategy
- Assisting with the drafting and negotiation of key construction documentation, including:
- Building contracts (JCT and NEC)
- Consultants’ appointments
- Collateral warranties and third-party rights
- Letters of intent
- Parent company guarantees and performance bonds
Requirements:
- 2–5 years’ PQE in non-contentious construction
- Strong technical grounding in construction law and standard form contracts (JCT, NEC)
- Experience advising developers, investors or lenders across sectors such as commercial offices, residential, retail or student accommodation
- Exposure to the construction elements of real estate or finance transactions
Location: London (hybrid/remote working available). Full-time preferred, part-time considered. ASAP.
