Fletchers Group have a fantastic opportunity to join our growing Team. Are you an experienced Accounts Team Leader ready to take the next step in your career? Do you thrive in a fast-paced legal finance environment where accuracy, leadership and continuous improvement are key? We are seeking a confident and capable Accounts Team Manager to join our Finance department in Southport.

Reporting to the Head of Accounts and Funding, this is a pivotal role where you will manage, support and develop a team of accounts assistants while overseeing daily financial operations. From leading month-end and year-end processes to ensuring full compliance with Solicitors Accounts Rules (SAR), you will play a vital role in maintaining high standards, driving efficiency, and strengthening internal controls.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience managing a legal cashier team, working within a case management system, and confidently navigating a busy environment. Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage, support and develop the Accounts team
  • Hold regular individual reviews and team meetings
  • Provide technical ledger support and resolve accounting queries
  • Oversee daily transactions including client and office receipts/payments and bank reconciliations
  • Own bill postings, matter balances and aged debt reporting
  • Carry out month end and year end closures on accounts system
  • Support the team trainer with maintaining accounting policies and process notes
  • Comply with SAR regulations and assist with the annual SAR audit
  • Manage team Rota and ensure all team members can confidently complete all team tasks
  • Consistently review and improve processes as required
  • Support the Head of Accounts and Funding
  • Other administrative tasks as required
