As a Senior Solicitor, you'll enjoy a high level of autonomy, handling complex cases from start to finish, ensuring that each is conducted with a proactive and commercially focused approach. You will correspond regularly with clients, medical experts, and other stakeholders to provide clear, informed guidance and maintain strong, supportive relationships. Responsibilities

  • Providing support, guidance and assistance to the team to deliver outstanding service to customers
  • Proactive and commercial case management and progression
  • Supporting the Team Leader in ensuring the delivery of the team’s financial performance KPIs
  • Effective and thorough time recording
  • Discussing and agreeing case tactics and planning with the Team Leader and members of the team
  • Identifying cases which are ready for LOC, settlement and service within the team
  • Working with the team to ensure that relevant information is being collected and collated to enable the progression of the case
  • Managing a caseload in a proactive commercial manner
  • Co‑ordinating the progression of cases with all internal and external parties
  • Drafting legal documentation including LOC, letters of instruction
  • Negotiating settlement and the issuing and service of proceedings should it be required
  • Overseeing the documentation and correspondence produced by the team
  • Advising the team on any technical issues arising from

Qualifications

  • Recent experience of handling a case load 8 years+ PQE or equivalent experience working in Clinical Negligence
  • Excellent organisational and time‑management skills
  • Excellent communication and drafting skills
  • Excellent IT skills, especially in respect of Microsoft Office packages, Proclaim and Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong commercial awareness within a legal environment
  • Ability to work well with junior team members, providing coaching and mentoring
  • Flexible and willing to commit to achieving results and meeting deadlines
  • Excellent Client Care Skills

Hybrid working available - with the flexibility to work from home and collaborate in‑office when needed.
