We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst – Mergers & Acquisitions to join our New Acquisitions team on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. This is a high‑priority role supporting a busy and growing M&A pipeline, and as such we are looking for someone who can start quickly, with a notice period of no more than four weeks.
Reporting to the Head of M&A Integration, you will play a critical role in supporting the successful integration of newly acquired businesses across the Fletchers estate. This is an exciting opportunity to work at pace, influence senior stakeholders, and deliver meaningful change across multiple workstreams in a fast‑moving, acquisitive organisation.

Main Responsibilities:
- Analyse processes and systems across Fletchers and the M&A target to understand and document integration needs across all workstreams
- Engage key stakeholders to capture, challenge and prioritise requirements in order to devise elegant solutions that maximise impact delivered
- Work with technical teams to articulate business needs, ensure technical feasibility, and oversee testing
- Work as a team to provide support within busy periods and manage time effectively
- Stay informed about industry standards and incorporate them into the operations of the team
- Build documentation and guidance to support in creating a one best way for Business Analysis within M&A
- Build a positive culture of change within M&A in Fletchers by getting people excited about new integrations
- Work with people leaders to integrate improvements to the workflows as part of integration into standard ways of working (e.g. SOP development, training in ‘to be’ process maps, problem solving, visual management)
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Excellent problem solving ability
- Ability to work under pressure
- Confident data analysis in Excel
- Confident to communicate with people at all levels within Fletchers and a new acquisition
- Experience working across a range of different business areas: Technology, Compliance, Call Centre, Business Operations, Finance, etc.
- Evidence of leading and managing change in people‑based processes
- Ability to work across a number of workstreams simultaneously with ‘big picture thinking’
- Effective management of relationships with stakeholders at all levels in an organisation
- Business Analysis Qualification (BCS)
- UK based and full right to work in the UK
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Willingness to travel to Fletchers offices and target acquisitions when required
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience working on projects within M&A
- Experience working within a law firm
- Experience using SQL
