Location: Flexible, hybrid working (and will be required to attend the Southport office when required).

Fletchers Solicitors Ltd have a fantastic opportunity to join our growing Nurse Team.

Purpose of role: To manage and lead the Medical Law Services Nurse Pagination Teams working alongside the Head of Nursing Services Lead to oversee the day-to-day running of this business area to ensure MLS provides an efficient quality service and product to all customers.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in managing and leading nursing teams/nurse ward manager to a high level, ideally within the NHS thereby ensuring the delivery of high-quality delivery on all products.

Main Responsibilities for the role:

  • Provide leadership and operational management for the nursing pagination teams ensuring high quality standards of product delivery.
  • Monitor & manage business performance against KPI’s and product delivery SLA’s with the provision of performance MI to Director of MLS and wider Fletchers Group.
  • Work with Managing Director of MLS, HoD Nursing Services and Finance Business Partner to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting.
  • Ensure annual budget targets are achieved.
  • Assist in monthly reporting of business area performance re KPI’s and financial targets to MD of MLS and Fletchers Executive Committee (Ex Co.)
  • Work alongside the HoD Nursing Services and Team Leaders to ensure consistent ways of working through the business.
  • Manage growth of the nurse teams.
  • Promote and assist with implementation of evolving AI tools across the business.
  • Manage and support all in team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Ensure all products are to required high standard and completed within agreed SLA’s.
  • Highlight areas of training and development needed by the team and ensure these are delivered.
  • Regularly evaluate the efficiency of process working with MLS Operations Manager and MD of MLS, in line with organisational objectives and apply improvements.
  • Revise and/or formulate policies and promote their implementation.
  • Assist in managing relationships/agreements with internal and external partners.
  • Evaluate overall performance by gathering, analysing, and interpreting data and metrics.
  • Ensure that MLS remains compliant by conforming to established operational regulations.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in managing and leading nursing teams at a high level, ideally within the NHS.
  • Registered nurse with relevant qualifications and professional registration.
  • Strong leadership and team management experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven successful track record of understanding business requirements and the key performance MI required to support ongoing business improvement & business continuity.
  • Critical thinking and strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse, and disseminate information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and influence stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office package, including advanced level knowledge of Excel.
