Paralegal (Clinical Negligence) role at Fletchers Group. Location: Birmingham / Hybrid. We work across England with multiple offices and offer hybrid and flexible working practices balancing home and office collaboration.
Fletchers Group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our Clinical Negligence team. As a Paralegal in the Clinical Negligence team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our solicitors and senior solicitors in delivering exceptional legal services to our clients. Your responsibilities will involve the running of a caseload of Clinical Negligence cases from inception to trial, always under supervision and in line with current company policies and legal requirements. You will accept delegated tasks on other similar cases as directed by the Senior Solicitor, conduct legal research, draft documents, and liaise with clients, medical experts and other professionals to assist the team in settling the cases.

Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure delivery of all KPI targets set by the firm
- Progress cases in a timely, efficient, and proactive manner
- Liaise with clients, experts, barristers, third party solicitors and insurers as directed
- Handle all aspects of pre- and post-issue procedures under supervision in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Ensure actions as per Proclaim Action List are completed in a timely fashion
- Accurate time recording
- Maintain client files in good order in accordance with Lexcel and other quality assurance requirements
- Report to Senior Lawyer as required
- Assist in the collection and collation of medical records
- Prepare client documents such as witness statements
- Deal with a caseload of Clinical Negligence cases in the early stages and assist team members with tasks
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Desire to work in Clinical Negligence law; some experience is preferred
- Graduate, preferably with a Law-related degree and/or professional qualification such as LPC or route to BAR or CILEX
- Ability to take direction and supervision from the team leader
- Proven legal and forensic skills
- Good research skills
- Attention to detail and keen analytical skills
