Due to continued growth, Fletcher Heating & Renewables Ltd is looking for an experienced and qualified Gas Engineer to join our growing team.
We are a family-run heating and renewables company based in Rochdale, covering Rochdale and the surrounding areas. With over 15 years’ industry experience, we pride ourselves on providing a reliable, professional service and maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
We are looking for an experienced engineer who takes pride in their work, is confident working independently and enjoys a varied workload. You should be approachable and professional with customers, have strong fault-finding skills and be comfortable carrying out a broad range of domestic gas, heating and plumbing work.
As one of our Engineers, your responsibilities will include carrying out high-quality maintenance, servicing, repairs and installations. This will cover a broad range of work, including plumbing & heating. You will ensure all gas work complies with Gas Safety Regulations and maintain a professional and polite manner when dealing with customers in their homes. A strong dedication to delivering an excellent customer experience is essential, as well as being competent in fault-finding and resolving issues across a wide range of heating systems.
This role will involve plumbing and heating works, gas installations (including radiator and boiler replacements). It is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied workload.
Skills & Requirements
- Full UK driving licence (Essential)
- Current ACS/Gas qualifications with a minimum of 3 years’ gas experience (Essential)
- CCN1 Domestic Gas Safety certification & Boilers, Cookers & Fires (Essential)
- Extensive knowledge and proven experience in the heating sector (Essential)
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently (Essential)
- Own hand tools and power tools in good working order (Essential)
- Willingness to undergo a Basic DBS check (Essential)
- Unvented Hot Water (G3) (Preferred)
- Job type: Full-time, permanent
- Start Date: November
- Working hours: Monday to Friday – 40 hours per week
- Location: Field-based, primarily Rochdale and surrounding areas
- Pay: £18–£21 per hour, negotiable depending on experience, qualifications and skill set
