Fletcher George are delighted to be working with a highly regarded, privately owned accountancy practice in the Woking area who are looking to appoint an experienced Part-Time Payroller. Working within a friendly and supportive team, you will take responsibility for managing a portfolio of client payrolls, delivering an accurate and professional service to a wide range of owner-managed businesses. The Payroller Role

  • Manage a portfolio of monthly payrolls for a wide range of owner-managed businesses.
  • Process payrolls for company directors and their employees, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
  • Process starters, leavers and changes to employee records.
  • Administer statutory payments including SSP, SMP, SPP and other statutory entitlements.
  • Submit RTI returns and pension contributions in line with HMRC requirements.
  • Prepare payroll year-end requirements including P60s and assist with the preparation of P11Ds.
  • Ensure all payrolls are fully compliant with current UK payroll legislation and HMRC regulations.
  • Liaise directly with clients, responding to payroll queries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and employee information.
  • Use Brightpay to process payrolls efficiently and accurately.
  • Build strong client relationships, providing a reliable and proactive payroll service.

About You

  • Previous payroll experience within an accountancy practice or payroll bureau.
  • Confident managing multiple client payrolls from start to finish.
  • Excellent knowledge of UK payroll legislation including SSP, SMP, SPP, RTI, Auto Enrolment, P60s and P11Ds.
  • Experience using Brightpay is highly desirable or an equivalent Payroll system.
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • A professional, client-focused approach with excellent communication skills.
