Are you an experienced ACCA/ACA qualified accounting professional seeking a new challenge in a progressive and supportive firm? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and multi-site firm of Chartered Accountants as a Business Services Manager in their Harrow office.
This newly created position has arisen due to continued business growth and offers the chance to work closely with the leadership team and make a real impact. You will take ownership of a varied client portfolio, delivering high-quality outsourced finance services and building strong advisory relationships. The position will be responsible for a portfolio of £600k, supervising a UK/Offshore accounts team, reviewing the offshore booking/accounts/tax preparation together with onboarding of new clients on Zero/Iris/Sage, project management of profitability charge out rates.
As a Business Services Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
- Client Portfolio Management: Manage a broad and varied portfolio of clients, ensuring delivery of financial reporting, compliance, and advisory services.
- Statutory Accounts: Review year-end accounts in line with FRS105 and FRS102(1A).
- Management Accounts & Tax: Oversee the preparation and review of management accounts, corporation tax computations, and returns.
- VAT & Bookkeeping Review: Review VAT returns and bookkeeping work completed by junior team members, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Client Advisory: Provide advice on areas such as tax-efficient remuneration planning, with support from senior management.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and support junior staff, encouraging their development within a collaborative working environment.
- Software Support: Assist clients and internal staff with implementing and using cloud accounting software effectively.
What you will bring:
- You will be ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with experience of a practice portfolio of at least £450k.
- You will be confident managing a client portfolio and reviewing complex accounts and CT tax computations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills are essential.
