Job Description Accountant – International Group | Leatherhead, Surrey | £48,000–£55,000 plus benefits | Hybrid Working \ N European VAT | Multi-Currency Accounting | International Exposure \ N Fletcher George is delighted to be representing a successful, privately owned Group with growing operations across the UK and Europe, including Belgium, Poland and Germany. \ N This newly created role offers the opportunity to join a growing finance team and take ownership of European VAT compliance, multi-currency accounting and financial reporting across several businesses. \ N What’s in It forYou? \ N \n £48,000–£55,000 salary guide, dependent on experience and qualifications. \ N Hybrid working. \n 25 days’ holiday plus Bank Holidays. \ N Wider benefits package. \ N Genuine international exposure and scope to grow with the business. \ N \n The Role \ N \n Preparing quarterly VAT returns across European jurisdictions. \ N Managing high-volume, multi-currency transactions. \ N Advising on VAT treatment of imports and cross-border transactions. \ N Supporting statutory reporting, financial controls and UK payroll. \ N Working with Xero and liaising with colleagues and advisers across Europe. \ N Supporting the integration of newly acquired businesses. \ N \n About You \ N We are keen to hear fromqualified or part-qualified Accountants from industry or practice, including those with outsourcing or international client experience. \ N European VAT experience is highly desirable, particularly involving cross-border transactions. Strong Financial Accountants with international or multi-currency experience who are keen to develop their VAT knowledge will also be considered. \ N Additional European language skills are important.
