Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage statutory audits from planning through to completion (approximately 90% of the role)
- Review audit files, ensuring compliance with UK auditing standards and Clarity ISAs
- Manage audit budgets, timelines and engagement delivery
- Act as the primary contact for clients throughout the audit process
- Identify audit issues and provide practical, commercial recommendations
- Supervise, coach and develop junior members of the audit team
- Build and maintain strong client relationships while supporting business development opportunities
- Assist with statutory accounts preparation and other compliance work where required (approximately 10% of the role)
About You
- ACA or ACCA qualified
- Strong external audit experience within UK practice
- Proven experience leading audits through to completion
- Up-to-date technical knowledge, including Clarity ISAs and UK GAAP
- Experience supervising and developing junior team members
- Commercially minded with excellent communication and client relationship skills
- Self-motivated, organised and able to manage multiple deadlines
