Their Private Client Tax team advises entrepreneurs, business owners, high-net-worth individuals, family groups, trusts and estates on a broad range of compliance and advisory matters.

As the firm continues to grow, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Private Client Tax Manager to join the team.

This is a varied role offering a combination of complex compliance work together with advisory assignments.

The portfolio can remain predominantly private client or can also evolve into a blended portfolio with corporate tax work depending on your experience and career aspirations.

This position would suit a CTA, ACA or ACCA and/ or ATT qualified Tax professional who enjoys developing trusted client relationships and providing commercially focused advice.

The Role

Working closely with the Partners and Directors, you will become a trusted adviser to an impressive portfolio of clients, taking ownership of both compliance and advisory work.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Managing a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, directors, family groups, trusts and estates.
  • Reviewing complex Self Assessment Tax Returns and ensuring the highest standards of technical compliance.
  • Managing Trust and Estate Tax Returns together with associated advisory work.
  • Advising clients on Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax planning.0
  • Reviewing the work of junior members of the team, providing coaching, mentoring and technical support.
  • Building long-term relationships with clients, becoming their trusted adviser and identifying opportunities to add value.
  • Keeping up to date with UK tax legislation and contributing to the continued development of the Tax team.

For candidates who enjoy both personal and corporate taxation, there is the opportunity to manage a blended portfolio incorporating corporate tax compliance and advisory work for owner-managed businesses.

About You

You will be CTA qualified or ACA or ACCA qualified with significant UK Private Client Tax experience gained within an accountancy practice.

You will also have

  • Experience managing a varied portfolio of private clients.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Personal Tax, Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax and Trust Taxation.
  • Experience reviewing complex compliance work and delivering tax planning advice.
  • The confidence to work directly with entrepreneurs, business owners and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Excellent communication skills and a consultative approach to client service.
  • A genuine interest in developing junior team members through coaching and mentoring.
