Fletcher George Recruitment is delighted to be working with a modern and highly regarded firm of Chartered Accountants in Guildford, Surrey, which is looking to recruit a newly qualified Audit Senior as part of its continued growth.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ACA or ACCA qualified audit professional who wants to build on their practice experience in a role offering genuine responsibility, varied client work and a positive working culture. You will take ownership of audit assignments from planning through to completion, while working closely with experienced Managers and Partners who are invested in your continued development.

The Audit Senior Role
As an Audit Senior, you will work with a broad and interesting portfolio of clients including owner-managed businesses, growing SMEs, groups and not-for-profit organisations. You will be involved in the full audit process, taking responsibility for planning, fieldwork, completion and client communication. This is a client-facing role where you will build strong relationships, support junior team members and continue developing your technical and commercial audit experience.
This role would suit a newly qualified Audit Senior, or an experienced Audit Semi Senior who is close to qualification and looking to step up within a progressive accountancy practice in Surrey.
Audit Senior Responsibilities
- Planning and leading audit assignments from planning through to completion
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients throughout the audit process
- Identifying audit risks and providing practical, commercial recommendations
- Reviewing and supporting the work of junior team members
- Working closely with Managers and Partners across a varied client portfolio
- Ensuring audit files are completed to a high standard and in line with agreed timescales
- Building strong, long-term relationships with clients
Audit Senior Requirements
- ACA, ACCA, ICAS, SAICA or equivalent qualification
- External audit experience gained within a UK accountancy practice
- Experience planning and completing audit assignments with limited supervision
- Strong communication and client relationship skills
- A proactive approach and the ambition to continue developing your career
- A positive, team-focused attitude
Salary and Benefits
- £47,000 - £53,000 per annum, depending on experience

This Audit Senior role is based in the Guildford area of Surrey and is easily commutable from Woking, Godalming, Farnham, Camberley, Leatherhead, Aldershot, Farnborough, Weybridge and the surrounding areas.
