Fletcher George are working with a highly regarded firm of Chartered Accountants in Newcastle, seeking an experienced Audit Senior. This is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified ACA / ACCA professional looking to take the next step in their career with a supportive and forward-thinking practice.
The Audit Senior Role
- You will play a key part in the delivery of audit and assurance services for a wide-ranging portfolio of clients across different industries.
- Lead audit fieldwork and perform substantive and analytical testing
- Plan and complete audit assignments, ensuring files are fully documented for review
- Prepare statutory financial statements under UK GAAP / IFRS
- Identify risk areas and flag matters of concern to Managers and Partners
- Build client relationships and provide a high-quality service
- Support, coach and mentor junior team member
About You
- ACA / ACCA (or equivalent) qualified
- Experience working in audit within a UK accountancy practice
- Knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS
- A collaborative team player with good communication skills
- Enjoys building client relationships and supporting junior colleagues

Location
This role is based in Newcastle and is easily commutable from Gateshead, Sunderland, Durham, and Cramlington by public transport.
