Reporting to the Branch Manager, this is a varied role where no two days are the same. While most of your time will be spent serving customers on the Trade Counter, you’ll also pitch in across the branch—helping with stock counts, shelf replenishment, deliveries, and general branch duties as needed.
Ensure that our customers, who are made up of trades, businesses and homeowners, are greeted with a cheerful smile and exceptional service.
- Cycle counting and restocking products
- Support the team in inventory management, inwards goods and doing deliveries
- Ensuring products are organised and ready for delivery
- Supporting the team with doing customer deliveries
This is a 12-month fixed term role offering full time hours, 40 hours a week, Monday - Friday.
About you:
- To shine in this role, you’ll need to be an organised and reliable team player who enjoys working in a close-knit team.
- Have a customer-focused and outgoing attitude and good work ethic.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport to support our valued customers.
- A motivated, self-driven worker, with the skill to work proactively, independently and within a team.
- Plumbing background will be ideal but not essential if you are keen to learn.
- Be confident with computers and learning new systems.
- There will be manual handling, and some heavy lifting required so you’ll need to be physically fit & strong.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- A Full New Zealand class 1 drivers’ licence is essential, and a forklift licence is advantageous.
