A brilliant opportunity has arisen for a Floor Assembly Technician - Mechatronic to join the team at Flender UK. We are keen to hear from apprentice-trained mechanical engineers, technicians, and fitters, preferably with experience working on power transmission products and rotating equipment, including gearboxes, pumps, turbines, and similar industries, to join our strong Production Team. Using your technical skills and experience, you will be seeking the best solutions for our customers while providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities- All aspects of gearbox & power transmission equipment overhaul, including: Strip, clean, inspect, report, preserve, pack away, assemble, test run, and final assembly
- Responsible for workshop tooling and equipment maintenance
- Maintain reasonable standards of housekeeping in the workshop
- Follow safety processes and procedures in all instances
- Adhere to defined processes and applicable regulations
- Potential onsite work, nationally and overseas, as required
- Safety-first attitude
- Technical and industry knowledge
- Recognized relevant trade qualification
- Holds high-risk work licenses as required (training will be provided where necessary)
- Understanding of work-related safety standards
- Technical skills in a mechanical background
- Ability to read engineering drawings and use general workshop measuring equipment

- Overhead crane lifting and slinging license
- Working with large presses
- Working with high-pressure equipment, e.g., Hytorc unit up to 40,000 PSI
- Working with overhead cranes (12.5/25T)
- Working with and around forklift trucks
- Working with ovens and heating equipment up to 300°C
- Working with compressed air
- Working with chemicals (caustic, solvents, liquid nitrogen, etc.)
- Working with machinery such as lathes, milling machines, drills, etc.
- Working at remote sites, at heights, or offshore
- Correct use of PPE (training will be provided)
