Fleming-Agri Products are currently recruiting for a Stores Operative to join our team. Fleming Agri Products is a leading manufacturer of agricultural machinery based in Newbuildings, Northern Ireland. The company promotes a value for money product portfolio that is sold extensively throughout the UK, Ireland, and several significant export markets including France and New Zealand.
As a Stores Operative, you will play a vital role in the stores department providing a support function to both customers and our production team. Your main responsibility will be to service customer demands for spare parts, queries and related issues, and delivering efficient and high-quality support to on-site manufacturing.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Take website, telephone and email orders of parts from customers, coordinating necessary transactions of stock onto the relevant system ensuring records are kept up to date, and arranging for the efficient despatch of these parts.
- Deal with all customer queries on issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Take delivery of parts and products ensuring they arrive in satisfactory condition and are processed correctly, including updating company records.
- Ensure all parts are stored in their dedicated locations, and paperwork/delivery information is accurately administrated.
- Ensure parts are made available to staff as and when required.
- Maintain good telephone manner, and present a professional company image and support service for customers.
- Advise stores manager on stock levels.
- Provide assistance in the production team as and when required.
- Maintain up to date computer records for the Stores department.
- Process all warranties in co-operation with the production manager and the sales/despatch department.
- Ensure the store is kept clean and tidy at all times, and ensure all health and safety procedures are adhered to.
- Maintain the supply of consumables and Personal Protection Equipment which is available to the factory.
- Partake in annual stock take.

The Fleming Agri factory is based in Newbuildings, North West Northern Ireland. The purpose-built factory was established in 1983 on a modest half-acre site. Over the years the factory has had several expansion developments including a £1.1m expansion which was completed in 2013. More recently a new 22,000 square feet factory has been opened mid-2020 for the manufacture of larger capacity trailers and vacuum tankers.
