Spray Operative in Belfast

Fleming-Agri Products require an Industrial Spray Painter to join our ever-growing team. An exciting opportunity to join our Industrial Spray Team. You will work as part of the production process ensuring efficiency and effective technique in all industrial spray activities.

Fleming-Agri Products is a highly successful manufacturer of machinery for Agriculture and Countryside Care. Based in Newbuildings, Fleming Agri Products currently has over 100 employees working in a modern purpose-built factory.

About The Role

Job Description – Principle Functions/Responsibilities:

• To work as part of the production team, to ensure efficiency and quality in the application of paint on all products. A high level of health and safety is also required at all times.
• Ensure efficiency and productivity in the spray house is maintained at all times.
• Ensure product quality levels are maintained at all times when spraying products.
• Ensure quality control procedures are maintained in the production process.
• Undergo all necessary training when required, keeping up to date with changing spray techniques, equipment, paints etc.
• Carry out appropriate maintenance of equipment and facilities.
• Maintain a clean and tidy spray area at all times including daily clean ups (flushing guns and pots and cleaning all equipment on a daily basis) and weekly clean ups (clean out fans and booths, change filter paper, store paint dust & used solvents for recycling).
• Shift work may be part of your job rotation.
• Ensure that all Health and Safety guidelines are adhered to in line with the company's health and safety policy.
• Highlight any issues of health and safety to your team leaders immediately.
• Promote a safe and healthy working environment for all members of staff.
• Report faulty equipment to your team leader at the earliest opportunity.
• Ensure all required PPE is worn and maintained in good condition.
• Must be willing to work shift patterns and overtime when required. (Shift Patterns: Days, Saturdays, Evenings and Nights)

Required Criteria

• Previous Spray Experience, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience of product quality control.
• Ability to work to meet production target times and ensure product quality levels are maintained.
• Must be willing to work shift patterns and overtime when required. (Shift Patterns: Days, Saturdays, Evenings and Nights)

About The Company

The Fleming Agri factory is based in Newbuildings, North West Northern Ireland. The purpose-built factory was established in 1983 on a modest half-acre site. Over the years the factory has had several expansion developments including a £1.1m expansion which was completed in 2013. More recently a new 22,000 square feet factory has been opened mid-2020 for the manufacture of larger capacity trailers and vacuum tankers.
