About the role
As a Building Maintenance Tradesperson, you will deliver day‑to‑day maintenance, repairs and installation work across various project sites. You will work closely with Project Managers, Site Supervisors, trade staff and yard teams to keep all areas safe and operational. The role requires you to follow verbal and written instructions with confidence, adapt quickly between tasks, use initiative, and contribute positively to a strong team environment.
Key responsibilities
- Liaise with Project Managers and Site Supervisors to identify, prioritise, and complete maintenance tasks across multiple projects.
- Coordinate and support trades and subcontractors to ensure safe, timely and high‑quality completion of works.
- Perform a variety of maintenance and general building repair tasks, both on‑site and off‑site, including labouring duties as required.
- Conduct daily pre‑start checks on machinery and equipment, maintain accurate records, and arrange repairs or servicing as needed.
- Maintain clean, safe and organised work areas through consistent housekeeping and safe work practices.
Qualifications and experience
- Previous experience in a similar maintenance, construction or building services role.
- Knowledge of the building or manufacturing industry (modular experience advantageous).
- A strong safety focus with a commitment to safe work practices.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with changing priorities.
- A strong team mindset, reliability, punctuality and a positive “can‑do” attitude.
- Demonstrated initiative and the ability to switch between tasks effectively.
- Current valid Australian driver’s licence.
- Construction Induction Card (White Card).
- Trade qualification (desirable).
