Job Purpose
Fleetwood Town Football Club are looking to recruit a talented and ambitious Media & Marketing Executive to support the delivery of the Club’s communications, media and marketing activity.
Working closely with the Head of Media & Marketing, you will help plan, create and deliver engaging content across all of the Club’s media channels, including the official website and social media platforms, as well as supporting wider marketing campaigns and partner activations.
The role will also involve assisting with day-to-day press office operations, liaising with local, national and international media, and helping to coordinate matchday media activity at Highbury Stadium and Poolfoot Farm.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head of Media & Marketing in the planning and execution of the Club’s media and marketing strategy.
- Assist in creating engaging written, video and digital content for the Club’s website and social media platforms.
- Help manage daily media requests, including interview coordination for players, management and staff.
- Provide day-to-day support in running the Club’s press office and ensuring smooth delivery of media operations.
- Assist with social media scheduling, posting and monitoring, helping to maintain a consistent and professional online presence.
- Support the coordination of home and away matchday media operations, including press accreditation, interview areas and content production.
- Work alongside the commercial and marketing teams to promote key Club initiatives, ticketing campaigns, retail products and sponsor activations.
- Assist in the creation of marketing materials and digital campaigns, ensuring brand consistency across all platforms.
- Help produce post-match quotes, interviews and editorial content for the Club’s official channels.
- Support with fan engagement and community-focused campaigns to strengthen supporter relationships.
- Contribute to internal communications projects and staff announcements as required.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism, conduct and appearance when representing the Club in public or media-facing settings.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by the Head of Media & Marketing or Senior Management Team.
Person Specification
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in social media management and/or content creation.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends and matchdays.
- A proactive, flexible and team-focused approach.
- Previous experience in a football or sports media environment.
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, video editing or photography.
- Understanding of the football media landscape and EFL regulations.
- Experience working with CMS platforms and digital analytics tools.
