Marine Engineer (plant engineer)

Overview

We are seeking a skilled engineer/Mechanic to join our team. Or HGV or plant fitter wanting to change career. Daily tasks would be repairs to vessels of all sizes, thinking out the box to keep things moving. This is not a 9‑5 job. Out of hours and weekends occasionally.

Responsibilities

Repair vessels of all sizes, diagnose diesel engines, work independently or with a team, maintain and use own tools, travel around the UK, stay in hotels as required. Van will be provided.

Requirements

• Must be local to the Thornton/Blackpool area.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Diesel engine knowledge, repair, diagnose.
• 12 V/24 V experience.
• Some welding and fabrication experience.
• Can do attitude.
• Ability to work alone or with others.
• Must have own tools.

Compensation

Hourly rate will be agreed with the right candidate. Job type: Full‑time.
