This is a fantastic opportunity to join the team at Fleetville Infant and Nursery School, a warm, welcoming and highly successful Outstanding (Ofsted December 2023) Infant and Nursery school.

We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:45am-3:45pm. The post will be based in Reception / Early Years, although all support staff have opportunities to work across both Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • nurturing, enthusiastic and passionate about supporting children to thrive
  • ambitious for all pupils and committed to high standards
  • confident in spoken English, with strong grammar skills to support early language development and phonics
  • knowledgeable about how young children learn through play
  • familiar with the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework (EYFS)
  • experience in a school setting (desirable)

The successful candidate will work as part of an inspiring and supportive teaching team, supporting children’s learning across the curriculum. You may also lead the class for up to three hours per week, under the direction of the class teacher.

This role is term time only (38 weeks) plus five INSET days, with a minimum of two days worked during school holidays (pro-rata).
