The Role: Deputy Headteacher
Working as a key member of the senior leadership team alongside our collaborative staff, you will:
- Drive EYFS & KS1 Excellence: Lead and model outstanding practice across Early Years and Key Stage 1, applying expert knowledge of the EYFS framework, early reading/phonics, and child-led learning to ensure strong foundations for every child.
- Ensure high standards in SEN Provision & Inclusion: Support our Special Educational Needs strategy, ensuring inclusive classroom practices, targeted interventions, and tailored support for pupils with additional needs.
- Cultivate High Standards: Inspire high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment across the school, maintaining an ambitious curriculum that drives exceptional pupil progress and well-being.
- Support Operational & Strategic Leadership: Partner closely with the Headteacher in the day-to-day running of the school, line-managing staff, and building strong, trusted relationships with families and external partners.
- Mentor & Empower Staff: Coach teachers and support staff, fostering a culture of innovation, continuous professional growth, and shared responsibility.
What We're Looking For
You will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with proven, successful leadership experience in an Early Years or primary setting;
- Deep expertise in Early Years Education, EYFS pedagogy, early child development, and early literacy and numeracy;
- Exceptional relational skills and a proven ability to build warm, positive, and trusted relationships across the school community;
- An ambitious mindset paired with excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills;
- An uncompromising commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and maintaining a positive learning environment.
