In-Person Tutors for English, Maths & Science | Oxford

Ready to make a real difference? Join Fleet Education Services as a professional Tutor and help learners who need your support the most! We’re looking for exceptional educators to deliver GCSE tuition in English, Maths, or Science. You’ll be working face-to-face with learners outside mainstream education, helping them build confidence and reach their full potential.

The Role

  • Provide 1:1 or small group tuition in learners’ homes
  • Support KS3 & KS4 (GCSE) students
  • Plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons tailored to each learner’s needs
  • Flexible tuition hours: from 5-25 hours a week to full-time equivalent hours, depending on your availability
  • We can batch learners together to create fuller schedules in your local area
  • Track and monitor learner progress, providing regular feedback
  • Maintain accurate records of each session using STEPS, our online tuition management platform
  • Deliver online sessions where required, using our virtual learning platform
  • Collaborate with parents, guardians, and schools to ensure learners' success

Many of our learners have complex needs, so we are especially interested in tutors with experience supporting:

  • Special Educational Needs (SEN) such as Autism (ASD), ADHD, Dyslexia, or Dyspraxia
  • Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs
  • Learners affected by childhood trauma

What We’re Looking For

  • Passionate and engaging educators who believe in the power of education
  • Experience teaching/tutoring KS3–KS4 (GCSE) in Maths, English, or Science
  • 6+ months of UK teaching or tutoring experience
  • Experience working with SEN/SEMH learners (desirable)
  • A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)
  • Enhanced DBS, registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply and register)
  • Based in the UK, with the right to work
