The Role

Your focus will be simple. Identify, engage and win new OEM customers. You'll develop a structured pipeline of opportunities, qualify prospects, build relationships with key decision-makers and lead opportunities through what are often complex, consultative sales processes. Working alongside engineering, technical and marketing teams, you'll help develop tailored solutions that genuinely solve customer challenges rather than simply offering another product. Once a customer is won, you'll ensure a smooth handover before continuing to identify further opportunities for growth.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Identifying and targeting new OEM customers across a wide range of industrial sectors.
  • Researching markets and developing strategic prospecting plans.
  • Opening conversations with senior decision-makers.
  • Using consultative questioning to uncover customer challenges and opportunities.
  • Building compelling commercial value propositions that differentiate the business.
  • Managing multiple opportunities through long and often complex sales cycles.
  • Working closely with engineering and technical specialists to develop tailored customer solutions.
  • Maintaining a healthy pipeline using structured CRM and sales planning.
  • Representing the business at exhibitions, networking events and industry meetings.
  • Consistently generating new opportunities that deliver sustainable long-term growth.

About You

You may already work within the industrial engine sector. Equally, you may come from another technical, engineering or capital equipment environment where you've built a reputation for winning new business. What's far more important is how you sell. We're looking for someone who:

  • Loves hunting for new business.
  • Is naturally curious and asks great questions.
  • Enjoys uncovering customer problems before presenting solutions.
  • Can build value rather than compete on price.
  • Understands consultative, solution-led selling.
  • Is comfortable managing longer, more complex sales cycles.
  • Has the resilience to keep creating opportunities, even when success isn't immediate.
  • Is organised enough to build and manage a structured pipeline.
  • Enjoys building long-term commercial relationships.

Experience selling technical products, engineering solutions, capital equipment or complex B2B solutions would all be highly relevant. Knowledge of industrial engines would certainly be advantageous, but it isn't essential. What matters most is your ability to create opportunities and win new customers.
