Overview

We\’re seeking a skilled Offshore Instrument Technician to provide short-term cover for a team member currently off sick. This ad hoc opportunity is based in the North Sea, supporting a well-established operation with a strong safety culture and efficient workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform inspection, maintenance, and calibration of instrumentation systems
  • Support fault-finding and troubleshooting across control and safety systems
  • Ensure compliance with site procedures and offshore safety standards
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maintain operational integrity

Essential Requirements

  • CompEx certification (EX01-EX04 minimum)
  • Proven offshore experience in instrumentation and control systems
  • Strong understanding of hazardous area equipment and ATEX compliance
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities

Desirable

  • Small Bore Tubing Training (SBT02) or equivalent
  • Familiarity with permit-to-work systems and isolation procedures
  • Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic control systems

Location & Duration

  • Offshore North Sea
  • Ad hoc position, expected to last several weeks (with potential for extension and future ad hoc work)
