Do you want to help young learners thrive in education? Then join Fleet Education Services as a Mentor (Progression/Attendance) and support students across Birmingham. We offer flexible working hours, weekly pay, CPD training, and a dedicated team to support you while you mentor with us.

We’re looking to meet an increase in demand for mentors who can support young people engage with education and progress toward vital life skills. Apply today and start making an impact!

What You’ll Need to be a Mentor:

  • At least 5 GCSEs including English and Maths.
  • Minimum of 6 months UK mentoring experience (including HLTA/TA/LSA work).
  • A commitment to safeguarding and supporting mentees with SEN, SEMH, and other complex needs.
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK with no restrictions on working hours.
  • Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).

Your Responsibilities as a Mentor:

  • Delivering personalised mentoring sessions that engage, inspire, and help mentees progress toward their goals.
  • Monitoring mentee progress and providing constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Collaborating with parents, guardians, and schools to ensure appropriate mentee progression.
  • Maintaining accurate session records through our virtual learning platform.

Please Note:

  • This role is flexible agency work with no minimum-hours commitment, and you will be free to choose the assignments that work for you,paid via PAYE.
  • Any tuition placements you undertake with us will be covered by our insurance.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be required to complete our safer recruitment process, designed with KCSIE in mind (Keeping Children Safe in Education).
