Then join Fleet Education Services as a Graduate Trainee and support students in and around the Oxford area through 1:1 tuition (in-person in schools). We’re excited to offer a unique opportunity to join our Graduate Trainee Tutor Programme – a structured training pathway designed to develop confident, capable tutors who can make a real impact.

Requirements:

  • A minimum bachelor’s degree in English, Maths or Science.
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK with no restrictions on working hours.
  • Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • A commitment to safeguarding and supporting learners.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing and delivering personalised lessons that engage, inspire, and help learners progress.
  • Monitoring learner progress and providing constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Collaborating with parents, guardians, and schools to ensure learner academic success.
  • Maintaining accurate session records through our virtual learning platform.

About the Programme:

  • A comprehensive induction including a training programme.
  • A follow-up scenario-based assessment to evaluate understanding.
  • Online CPD training, including modules such as SEND Support.
  • Ongoing feedback and support from our experienced Quality Assurance team.

Your Progression Path:

  • Begin with carefully selected placements (KS3-KS4).
  • Be supported to provide high-quality tuition.
  • Work towards completing a minimum of 52 hours of delivered tuition and meeting our experience threshold to transition to full tutor status.

Please Note: When registering as a Graduate Trainee with Fleet you will be listed as an Agency Worker, supporting with tuition engagements as and when they arise. Set amount of hours are not guaranteed. You will work through a contract for service and will be paid via PAYE. Any tuition placements you undertake with us will be covered by our insurance. Shortlisted candidates will be required to complete our safer recruitment process, designed with KCSIE in mind (Keeping Children Safe in Education).
