We are looking for a driven Client Account Manager to join our Major Accounts team in our Glasgow office. You will manage a portfolio of current Fleet Alliance Major Accounts clients. You will also have accountability for the client relationship, including all outsourced needs and ensuring clients receive excellent customer service. As Client Account Manager you will promote Fleet Alliance's product range, showing business acumen and working to departmental financial targets and objectives.

What will I be doing

  • Working with our clients to hold large fleets of over 150 vehicles.
  • Lead the business planning and routine reporting needs of the Client Relationship Management function (annual planning process, quarterly client activity reporting, Teams/Visits etc.).
  • Establish a rolling agenda with each client of key strategic initiatives for policy recommendations and improved efficiency, service delivery & cost effectiveness.
  • Review routine cost-accountability and justification reporting to ensure clarity & usefulness to client base.
  • Promote Fleet Alliance’s product range, ensuring all commercial opportunities are identified and implemented.
  • Show clients our value, showcasing all our savings/cost effective solutions.
  • Know and adhere to client company car policy. Review and make recommendations for improved efficiency, cost effectiveness and meeting environmental targets.
  • Keep clients informed of changing market-place conditions and to reinforce with the client base that we are “ahead of the game”.
  • Be the escalation point for client issues/complaints.
  • Provide a common contact point for the CRM function to ensure all relevant supplier/partner relationships are nurtured to the common good of our clients.
  • Other key strategic initiatives as identified and Project tasks for clients as and when required.
  • Assume key role in partnering with Business Development team in prospective new client activity.
  • Overall accountability, alongside Operations for the successful implementation of new clients to Fleet Alliance.
  • Client Implementation Projects as a whole (either new clients or new/improved services).

What will I need to succeed

  • Strategic account management experience essential, ideally working with large corporate clients.
  • Experience dealing with senior stakeholders in organisations.
  • Excellent presentation & communication skills. Comfortable presenting to senior external stakeholders.
  • Good organisational and planning skills.
  • Ability to manage and prioritise workload and vary demands using a variety of systems.
  • Methodical with attention to detail.
  • Computer literate with a sound knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook.
  • Good problem solving, decision making and analytical capabilities.
  • Beneficial: Financial Services or Fleet Industry experience.
