Fledglings is an interactive learning platform that helps 16–24 year olds build the confidence, skills, and mindset to thrive in work and life. Designed with education experts alongside recent school leavers, apprentices, and students, our resources are practical, relatable, and focused on real outcomes. Guided by four principles: Youth, Engagement, Accessibility, and Impact, Fledglings is recognised as an Innovative Social Enterprise backed by Aston University and is confirmed for the main stage at Bett 2027. We work with educators, employers, and partners who share our commitment to better outcomes in education.
As a Student Ambassador, you will be the bridge between Fledglings and your student community, helping us understand what learners actually need and bringing the student perspective into how the platform develops. This is a flexible, voluntary position designed to fit around your studies. Rather than fixed hours, we agree a realistic, manageable level of involvement with each ambassador, and you focus on the responsibilities that best suit your strengths.
What you'll do:
- Share your honest experiences and perspective to help shape relatable, useful learning content.
- Introduce Fledglings within your college, university, or networks, including short presentations or informal sessions where you're comfortable doing so.
- Test new features and provide structured feedback to improve the learning experience.
- Represent Fledglings at relevant events and community activities.
- Gather insight from your peers so the platform genuinely reflects what students need.
- Help build relationships with schools, colleges, and employers in your area.
You'll collaborate closely with our team and fellow ambassadors, with optional virtual catch-ups along the way.

- A proactive, self-motivated approach to managing your own time.
- Currently studying (apprenticeship, sixth form, college, or university) or a recent graduate, with reliable internet access for remote working.
- No prior ambassador, content, mentoring, or advocacy experience is required.
