Title: Communications Specialist – 12 Month Maternity Cover

Are you a creative and organised communications professional who enjoys turning complex information into clear, engaging content?

We are looking for a Communications Specialist to join FUJIFILM Biotechnologies UK. Reporting to the Head of Communications, this is a varied, hands-on role where you will help inform and engage colleagues, manage key communication channels, support events and campaigns, and create high-quality visual and written content.

You will work closely with teams across our UK site and the wider global network. It is an excellent opportunity for someone who combines strong writing and organisational skills with creativity, sound judgement and a practical approach.

What you will do

• Source and create engaging employee stories, news updates and content for corporate social media channels.
• Draft, edit and proofread newsletters, leadership messages, announcements, intranet articles and event materials.
• Manage and maintain intranet content using a content management system, ensuring pages are accurate, well-structured and aligned with publishing standards.
• Build and distribute employee emails and use analytics to improve communication effectiveness.
• Support internal events and webinars, from planning and supplier coordination through to live delivery.
• Develop professional visual assets, presentations, signage, templates and event collateral in line with brand guidelines.
• Support video production, basic editing and workplace photography.
• Build positive relationships with teams and leaders across the organisation, providing practical communications advice and support.

What you will bring

• Experience in internal communications, employee engagement or a related communications role.
• Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
• The ability to translate technical or detailed information into accessible, audience-focused content.
• Experience using an intranet or content management system and an email communications platform.
• Experience creating content for corporate social media channels, with an understanding of platform requirements, audience needs and brand standards.
• Confidence working with stakeholders across different functions and levels.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and working knowledge of Canva, including basic video editing.
• Advantageous to have experience with Adobe InDesign, Adobe Premiere Pro, Vyond, photography or communications in a scientific, technical or manufacturing environment would be an advantage.
