We are looking for an organised and detail-focused Inventory Manager to oversee stock planning, ordering, and supply coordination. The role involves managing supplier deliveries, maintaining accurate stock records, forecasting sales, and ensuring stock levels meet seasonal demand. Working closely with procurement, marketing, suppliers, and distributors, you will monitor product performance, resolve supply issues, and help optimise inventory across our ranges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the ordering and distribution of stock, agreeing timescales and delivery dates with suppliers and completing the necessary documentation.
- Prepare sales and stock plans in conjunction with procurement.
- Identify production and supply difficulties and deal with any problems or delays as they arise.
- Ensure invoices and deliveries match up, record and claim back stock cost that hasn’t been delivered.
- Liaise with marketing, suppliers and distributors.
- Maintain a comprehensive library of appropriate data.
- Plan sales forecasts and figures for new ranges.
- Control stock levels based on forecasts for the season.
- Monitor slow sellers and take action as necessary.
- Analyse the previous sales and report on the performance of new lines.
- Accompany senior team members on visits to manufacturers to appreciate production processes.
What we’re looking for:
- Prior experience working in a supply chain or merchandising role (2 years minimum).
- Well organised, punctual, calm under pressure.
- Excellent English reading and speaking skills.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Detail orientated and able to spot mistakes and self-correct.
- Good communication skills (written and verbal).
- Able to work on their own when needed.
