Food Production Assistant (ambient food product) in Reading

We’re looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Food Production Assistant to join our start-up. You’ll be working in our production unit in a lovely village near Hemel Hempstead helping us create our award-winning Flavour Bombs.

What you’ll be doing:

• Following recipes with precision to produce Flavour Bombs
• Packaging and labelling finished products, ready for sale
• Maintaining accurate batch records, including batch codes and production dates
• Following HACCP procedures and strict cross-contamination controls
• Taking deliveries, replenishing stock, and completing stock checks
• Occasionally packing orders and taking them to the courier shop
• Ensuring all work meets SALSA food manufacturing and food safety standards (training provided)

What we’re looking for:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar food manufacturing or production role
• High attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Organised, adaptable, and quick to learn
• Strong understanding of health and safety in a food environment
• Food Hygiene Level 2 certificate (desired but not essential)
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car (essential – our site is not accessible by public transport)
