The Leadership Development & Coaching Partner will work directly with managers across Flatpay UK, from first‑time team leads to regional leaders, helping them lead confidently, manage performance effectively, and build high‑performing teams. This is not a traditional L&D role. It is a hands‑on, commercially focused position embedded within a fast‑moving, sales‑driven environment.
The role focuses on strengthening manager capability, improving performance conversations, embedding consistent probation standards, and reducing early attrition through stronger leadership.
What you'll do
- To build capable managers and embed clear, commercially aligned leadership standards across Flatpay UK, ensuring our rapid growth is supported by confident, accountable leadership.
- Leadership Development & Coaching
- Deliver and continuously improve the UK leadership development programme.
- Coach managers (1:1 and group settings) on accountability, performance conversations, expectations, and team leadership.
- Support first‑time managers in building structured and consistent leadership habits.
- Facilitate practical, high‑impact sessions focused on difficult conversations, standards, and driving results.
- Reinforce leadership behaviours aligned with Flatpay’s high‑performance culture.
- Support managers in applying probation and performance processes consistently and confidently.
- Improve the structure and quality of performance conversations across the organisation.
- Provide guidance on Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) and documentation standards.
- Identify patterns of underperformance or early attrition linked to leadership capability.
- Work closely with HR to reduce reactive escalations through proactive coaching and clearer expectations.
- Partner with People Operations to monitor probation outcomes and early‑tenure attrition.
- Identify trends connected to leadership capability and intervene early.
- Provide pragmatic recommendations to the Head of HR on development priorities and capability risks.
- Contribute to clear manager performance standards that support consistency across the business.
- Partner with Sales Coaches and Training teams to identify leadership capability gaps linked to revenue performance and productivity.
- Translate commercial priorities into targeted leadership development interventions.
- Ensure leadership development remains practical, relevant, and grounded in the realities of a scaling sales organisation.
- Support consistency in leadership standards across departments and regions.
Who you are
- Experience coaching managers in a fast‑paced, commercially driven environment (ideally sales‑led).
- Strong capability in performance coaching and accountability conversations.
- Comfortable working with ambitious, high‑performing leadership teams.
- Confident challenging constructively and holding standards.
- Strong understanding of performance data and commercial drivers.
- Pragmatic, resilient, and focused on outcomes rather than theory.
