Wir suchen eine:n Werkstudent:in für medizinische Dokumentation / Tumordokumentation (m/w/d), der:die uns dabei unterstützt, unsere Mission zu erfüllen: das Leben von Menschen zu verbessern und zu verlängern, indem wir aus den Erfahrungen jedes einzelnen Krebspatienten lernen. Flatiron arbeitet mit Krebsbehandlungszentren in den USA, Europa und Asien zusammen, um ein modernes, onkologisches Netzwerk zu schaffen und somit die Erfahrungen von einzelnen Patienten in hochqualitative Datensätze zu übersetzen. Wir arbeiten in multidisziplinären Teams mit Expert:innen aus den Bereichen Onkologie, Datenwissenschaft, Software, Epidemiologie, Produkt und vielen anderen mehr. Die Tätigkeit ist 100% remote und kann flexibel von zu Hause in Deutschland aus erbracht werden – ob Du lieber früh morgens, nachmittags oder abends arbeitest, wir möchten Dich unterstützen, die für Dich passenden Arbeitszeiten zu finden, damit sich die Arbeit gut mit Deinem Studium vereinbaren lässt. Die Mindestarbeitszeit beträgt dabei 10 Stunden pro Woche und kann abhängig von deiner individuellen Studiensituation flexibel gestaltet und auf bis 20 oder 25 Stunden pro Woche erhöht werden.
Responsibilities
- Du dokumentierst unstrukturierte onkologische Patientendaten aus klinischen Krankenhaus- und Arztpraxissystemen in unser eigens dafür entwickeltes Softwaresystem, einschließlich der komplexen Erfassung, Speicherung und Überprüfung von klinischen Diagnose-, Behandlungs- und Nachsorgedaten
- Du bringst Dein onkologisches Fachwissen ein und erweiterst dies kontinuierlich, um eine detailgetreue und vollständige Dokumentation in einer Vielzahl von klinischen Projekten zu ermöglichen
- Du gibst direktes Feedback zu neuen Funktionen, Tools und Workflows und trägst damit zur inhaltlichen Weiterentwicklung und Qualitätssicherung unserer Softwarelösungen bei
- Du unterstützt uns dabei, schriftliche Arbeitsanweisungen zur korrekten und einheitlichen Dokumentation stetig weiter zu entwickeln
- Du evaluierst Ansätze zur Dokumentation neuer Datenelemente
Qualifications
- Immatrikulation an einer medizinischen Fakultät in Deutschland
- Abgeschlossenes vorklinisches Medizinstudium
- Ausgeprägtes Interesse an Krebserkrankungen sowie an der Arbeit mit onkologischen Patientendaten
- Onkologisch-fachliche Vorerfahrung z.B. im Rahmen von Famulaturen, Praktika und anderen klinischen Tätigkeiten
- Wünschenswert Grundkenntnisse zu Histologie, Klassifizierungssystemen (TNM, etc.) und Therapie onkologischer Erkrankungen
- Idealerweise Vorerfahrung im Umgang mit Tumordokumentationssystemen (TDS), Datenbanken und Software zur Krebsregistrierung
- Basis-IT-Kenntnisse (idealerweise Mac OS) und Offenheit für neue Softwarelösungen
- Ausgeprägte Kommunikationsfähigkeit, Zuverlässigkeit, Liebe zum Detail, Integrationsfähigkeit sowie ein hohes Maß an Eigeninitiative und Selbstständigkeit
- Deutsch auf Muttersprachenniveau und gute Englischkenntnisse
